Head of Turkmenistan starts a two-day visit to Azerbaijan
This morning three aircrafts - two Boeings and one "Challenger" – landed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Aboard they had members of the Turkmen delegation, who arrived to Azerbaijan on an official visit. The President of Turkmenistan flew on the ultra-long Boeing-777-200LR, vice premiers and other high-ranking officials on the compact Challenger-605, and members of the official delegation and representatives of the Turkmen media on Boeing-7737-800. At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the national flags of the two countries fluttered, an honorable guard was built in honor of the High guest. Guests were welcomed by the hosts and in a short time a long string of comfortable cars of the convoy departed the protocol streets of Baku - to the residence "Zagulba". As reported by the official media, intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements will be signed during Turkmen-Azerbaijani top-level talks. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan today play an important role in the region, carry out large energy and transport projects of continental importance. In addition to economic opportunities, both countries share close cultural and historical roots, which are the basis for humanitarian interaction and scientific exchange in the study of the heritage of the two peoples.
