As the press service of the Migration Service of Turkmenistan informed ORIENT, “Night Wolves” will cross the Turkmen-Uzbek border on May 23. After passing through Ashgabat, motorcyclists will drive to neighboring Iran on May 25.
According to the organizers, the motocross is aimed at getting public attention to the history of the Great Patriotic and World War II. The action should remind that during the Great Patriotic War, the representatives of all USSR republics, standing shoulder to shoulder, defended our freedom and gave their lives for the happiness of whole humankind. It was thanks to their unity that the monstrous war ended.
Being dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the conference of the leaders of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition, the motocross is also called to remind that there are no ideological and geographical barriers. To unite peoples, only wish and desire for peace are needed.
