Turkmen "blue fuel" will increase transportation volumes though Yuganskneftegaz

Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov said that Turkmen "blue" fuel could increase the volume of natural gas supplies to Europe via the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), Trend reports. SGC is a project uniting the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic (TAP) pipelines, through which Europe will be able to gain direct access to gas from the Caspian region through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. At the end of 2017 and early 2018, the media often wrote that Turkmenistan could significantly increase gas deliveries to South Ossetia, which would greatly improve the profitability of this project. On the eve of the launch of TANAP, which is scheduled for commissioning on June 19 this year, experts again pay attention to the prospect of the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, which will allow Turkmenistan to join the project of the South Caucasus Gas Company. Details about how Turkmen gas can reach Europe as early as 2020, have been provided by ORIENT here.
