In July BTJ transported more than 486.2 thousand tons of Turkmen oil
In July 2017 2 million 403 thousand 234 tons of Azerbaijani oil were transported through the main export pipeline of Azerbaijan - Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhun. In addition, in July 2017, 486,269 tons of Turkmen oil was pumped through the BTJ. This is reported on the website of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The shipper is SOCAR Trading, which delivers Turkmen oil to the Sangachal terminal via the Caspian Sea by tankers, enters the shipyard and further supplies raw materials to the Turkish Mediterranean Ceyhan terminal via the BTC pipeline. This pipeline transported 15,577,521 tons of oil in January-July, of which 3 million 683,961 tons were transited. In general, since the beginning of operation of the pipeline, which was opened in July 2006, before August 1, 2017, 337 million 115 thousand 583 tons of oil were pumped into the BTJ. According to the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, in January-May 2017, the increase in value terms for oil exports in the country compared to the same period of last year amounted to 17.5%.
