Opponents of the national team of Turkmenistan in the 2019 Asian Cup are set
The final tournament draw of the 2019 Asian Cup football tournament was held in Dubai, UAE. The teams have been divided into four pots, out of which, the six round tournament groups have been determined. The Asian Cup is a football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation that held every four years – the following year after the World Cup. The Turkmen team is in the Group F alongside teams from Japan, Uzbekistan and Oman. Opponents are strong. Japan is the most titled team in Asia that is four-time Cup winner. The team of Uzbekistan is Asian powerhouse also, which reached the 4th place in 2011 tournament. 24 teams out of 47 members of the Asian Football Confederation received the right to participate in the final stage of the Cup. Turkmenistan managed to pass through the sieve of the qualifying stages and to get to the number of the strongest national teams. In 2019, the Cup will host the stadiums of the United Arab Emirates, a football festival that will last from January 5 to February 1 next year. Eight venues have been chosen across three emirates to stage the 51 matches. Matches will be held in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, El Ain, and Sharjah. The national teams into six groups of four that will get the top two sides and the four best third-placed sides will be progressing to the knockout stages.
