Uzbekistan will take part in the financing of the TAPI project

Uzbekistan will send funds for the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Director General of the Association of Banks of the Republic Bakhtiyor Khamidov. Khamidov also talked about the joint implementation of other projects in various spheres between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, many of which are initiated by the Turkmen side. Let us recall that on April 23-24, President Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to Uzbekistan, during which he held talks with Uzbek leader Mirziyoyev. As a result of the talks, Mirziyoyev said that TAPI is a grandiose project that will benefit the entire region, and Uzbekistan is ready to participate in its implementation. The TAPI project includes a 1,840-kilometer gas pipeline with a throughput capacity of 33 billion cubic meters per year, a power transmission line and a fiber-optic communication line along the pipeline route.
