Turkmen schoolchildren won the international art contest


Students of Ashgabat Joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after A. S. Pushkin became the winners of the creative competition held by one of the leading Russian Universities - Kurgan State Agricultural Academy named after T. S. Maltsev.
The picture by Ilyasova Medina “Gelin” (Daughter-in-law) was announced the best one by the international competition of drawings and photographs on the theme “I love my country”. The runner-up is the landscape picture “Spring in the foothills of the Kopet Dag” by Chernetsova Galina and the “National heritage of Turkmenistan” by Komekov Esen ranks third.
The art contest was held to promote international humanitarian cooperation and strengthen inter-regional cultural relations. Along with children from Turkmenistan, students of secondary and high schools from Russia and Kazakhstan also took part in the competition.
In total, the evaluation committee received over 40 works. The jury was guided by such criteria as content, workmanship, color, clarity, originality and composition.
All participants received certificates and prize-winners were awarded medals and diplomas.
