Turkmen diplomatic missions overseas organized sports events around the world
Turkmen diplomatic missions overseas were the organizers of a series of sporting events, which took place in the capitals of many countries.
A table-tennis tournament as well as chess and drafts competitions among Turkmen students studying in the universities of the city of Seoul were held at the Embassy of the Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea. Students from other states and local residents have been invited to participate also. Therefore, these amateur tournaments can be called international.
Winners of fascinating competitions were presented with valuable gifts, and all participants of the event were awarded with memorable certificates.
In recent years, sport has become an important means of forming a new image of Turkmenistan, increasing its attractiveness and strengthening international prestige. The country hosts major tournaments of regional and world level, and the state mobilizes all the resources for their organization at the highest level.
The sport with its large peacekeeping potential began to be used actively as an instrument of Turkmen diplomacy.
Earlier, the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Ukraine organized the sports competitions among Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of the city of Kiev.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan organized competitions in football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and badminton.
The diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in Turkey and Saudi Arabia organized a mini-football tournament as well as table-tennis and drafts competitions. Similar events took place in other countries.
