The flags of the Asian Games are raised in the Olympic Village

In the Ashgabat Olympic town, on the campus, the raising ceremonies of the Flags of the countries, whose delegations have already arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the competitions of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games were held.
Under the sounds of national anthems, the banners of Guam, Lebanon, Micronesia, Syria and Yemen were raised.
Like any Turkmen festival, this celebration also was not without music, songs, dances, national dishes and generous gifts.
The liberating atmosphere has brought together representatives of different peoples and cultures.
Chairman of the Executive Committee for the 5th Asian Games Dayanch Gulgeldiev in an exclusive interview with Orient said:
- After a long, tense and painstaking preparatory work now, with the arrival of the first guests, festive days have come for us in the Olympic town. It's incredibly nice to see so many smiling, cheerful faces, accept long-awaited and dear guests, share the best.
There are even more than 10 days of our common holiday ahead, but one thing is for sure - we will remember every moment of it! Everyone's mood is cheerful, upbeat, joyful. And at the same time, eager - all are bursting, as they say, into the "battle" and are ready to measure their strength on the sports grounds. And this winning attitude charges everyone with a powerful and positive energy - the energy of the Ashgabat Asiada!
