Vietnamese team goes to Ashgabat for medals

The national team of Vietnam is determined to win at least eight gold medals at the Games “Ashgabat 2017”, says daily newspaper VietnamNews. Hanoi bets on the champion wins in such sports as athletics, swimming, weightlifting, chess, billiards, wrestling, kickboxing and Thai boxing. Totally, 117 Vietnamese athletes will represent their country in 14 program sports. They are headed by the deputy head of the national sports administration Tran Duc Phan. In Turkmen capital, Vietnam starts with the performance of the futsal team, which, after entering Group A, will play its first match with Chinese Taipei on 16 September. In medal table of the IV AIMAG 2013 Incheon, Vietnam with 27 medals ranked third behind China and host nation.
