"Ahalteke and France" - horses, as a work of art


An art exhibition dedicated to the Turkmen Horse Festival was opened in the French Institute in Turkmenistan.
It features the works of famous Turkmen painters and sculptors, among them Meret Klychev, Aman Amangeldiev, Bayram Nuryev, Modyek Charyev, Kossek Nurmuradov, as well as the French photographer Paul Nadar who visited Turkmenistan in the late 19th century.
The organizers named the exhibition "Ahalteke and France", and the honorary guest of the opening was Ms. Eloiz Girardi, the chairman of the Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding of the French Republic, who told the visitors about the love that the Ahalteke enjoy in her country. According to her, the French, as fine connoisseurs of beauty, refer to Turkmen horses as works of art, genuine masterpieces.
She also spoke about the activities of the association she heads, whose goal is to unite the breeders and coordinate their efforts in an effort to increase the number of livestock of this breed in France, whose historical homeland is Turkmenistan.
