Pakistani leader to attend opening ceremony of “Ashgabat 2017”

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain, at the head of the government delegation, will take part in the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and martial Arts Games, starting on 17 September 2017. Head of Pakistan on a trip to Ashgabat will be accompanied by the Minister of Interprovincial Coordination Raiz Hussain Prizada and State Minister for Petroleum Jam Kamal Khan. The national team of this South Asian country consists of 119 athletes who will compete in the following nine sports:
- Athletics - 14 athletes
- Billiards - 4
- Jiu-jitsu -16
- Swimming - 10
- Taekwondo - 12
- Tennis - 7
- Weightlifting - 5
- Wrestling - 9
- Belt wrestling – 30
