Berdimuhamedov is re-elected as President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan
At the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Turkmenistan held in Ashgabat on April 20, the President of the NOC, the heads and members of the Executive Committee of this organization were elected.
President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov was unanimously re-elected as President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan.
P.Agamuradov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of sport, is elected as the first Vice-President of the NOC of Turkmenistan, and D.Gulgeldiyev, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan, is re-elected as Vice-President. A.Muradov remained as Secretary General of the NOC of Turkmenistan.
The composition of the Executive Committee of the NOC of Turkmenistan was also determined, which included the heads of the National Federations: weightlifting, boxing, wrestling, judo, basketball, equestrian sports, student sports, etc.
The agenda also included a report on the activities of the NOC of Turkmenistan for 2016-2017, the introduction of additions and changes to the charter in accordance with the requirements of the Olympic Charter and approved by the International Olympic Committee, as well as the admission of new members to the ranks of the organization.
The NOC of Turkmenistan consists of collective members – public associations, national sports federations and organizations, as well as individual members – citizens of the country contributing to the Olympic movement, and athletes who participated in the Olympic Games.
