On April 28th, in Ashgabat, on the eve of the nationwide celebrations in honor of the Turkmen horse, which is incomparable in swiftness, grace and fidelity to the owner, an international beauty contest of horses of this ancient, but still truly unique breed, will take place. Traditionally, the best horses from all regions of Turkmenistan, which have passed local qualifying stages, will take part in the competition. The jury, which will include international experts-hippologists and well-known horse breeders from different countries, will choose an outstanding horse that deserves the title of the most beautiful Akhal-Teke in 2018. In addition to this competition, a creative contest among the authors of the captivating image of the legendary horse is held annually for the Turkmen Horse. A lot of applicants from among the known and beginning painters, sculptors, carpenters, jewelers, photo artists, designers, cameramen, etc. take part in the art marathon. The winners of this competition will also be announced on April 28th. They, as well as the owner of the best horse of the year, will receive awards on behalf of President Berdimuhamedov.
