Ashgabat - in the top tourist cities of the CIS


According to the statistics of the analytical agency Turstat, “the pearl of the Karakum Desert” – Ashgabat is one of the ten most popular cities for spring travel around the CIS countries.
Tourists from all over the world have long loved the “City of Love”. No one camera can catch the stunning sunsets that reflect from the white marble walls of capital skyscrapers – you need to see it with your own eyes.
The National Museum of Turkmenistan and the Carpet Museum are places of pilgrimage not only for foreign but also for local tourists.

The most popular tourist sites in the white marble capital are the parks of Independence and Neutrality, the Memorial Complex “People's Memory” (“Halk Hakydasy”), the “Inspiration” alley (“Ylham”), “Lenin” and “Pushkin” squares. The “White City of Ashgabat” monument is recognized as the most photographed sight.
According to one of the largest travel agencies of Turkmenistan “Owadan Syyahat”, the largest number of tourists come from the US, Germany, Belgium, Holland, as well as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia.
The foreign travelers is attracted by tours on sights included in the UNESCO World Heritage List – Merv, Nisa, Kunyaurgench, and on sightseeing along the Great Silk Road.
