A delegation of industrialists from Mangistau region of Kazakhstan visits Turkmenistan


The Balkan region of Turkmenistan receives a delegation headed by Akim of Mangistau region of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov. The guests arrived on Monday morning, settled in the best hotels of the Avaza Caspian resort, and on Tuesday, April 17 in Avaza, the members of delegation met with the head of the Balkan region Satlyk Satlykov. Afterwards, a bilateral business forum was held. Representatives of state structures and business circles of two regions of neighboring countries took part in the business meeting. In particular, the top-managers of the Socially-entrepreneurial Corporation KASPIY, Morport Aktau Free Economic Zone, MangistauMunaigaz and KazAzot, Port Kuryk LLP, Atameken Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs and dozens of industrial enterprises were included in the Kazakhstan delegation. During the business forum, a cross-presentation of investment opportunities of the Balkan region and Mangistau region, as well as discussion of common interests and joint perspective projects took place. Areas in which mutual efforts can bring huge economic dividends to both sides were identified. For example, cooperation in the energy sector and the mineral resources development, transport and infrastructure, agribusiness and processing industries, textile, chemical industry, and trade. Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of products of the Mangistau and Balkan producers was organized. After the talks, the guests visited the new International Port of Turkmenbashi, which is preparing to be launched in the near future, and a large sturgeon farm of Khazar Balyk, which specializes in caviar and fish production. The informal part of the visit of the Kazakh delegation included a friendly match on mini-football with the participation of youth teams from the Balkans and Mangistau, an exhibition of decorative and applied art of Turkmen and Kazakhs. The visit was ended up with a concert of the artists of the two countries, which performed folklore and variety show.
