The National Olympic Committee of Jordan has decided to send e-sports team to Ashgabat for participation in 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The first pioneering group of Jordan on e-sports consists of five gamers Abdullah Jaradat, Abdulfatah Al Shroof, Ali Nidal, Amer Jaradeh, Anas Herzallah and Mohammad Khalil, who have been coached by Mohammad Zahran.
The five will perform in the multiplayer team game Dota 2 ("Protection of the Ancients 2"). According to the rules, two teams meet on the electronic battlefield, each having its own outpost. All players control heroes, who are skillful in unique attack and defense tactics. The winner is the one, which is keen-witted enough to destroy the main point of the opponent.
Recently, the special training center "Al-Hussein Business Park" has been opened in Amman, the capital of this Middle Eastern nation, in connection with the growing popularity of computer sports in the country.
