Today, on the birthday of the master, the names of the winners of the competition for the best work were announced. There are ceramics, graphics, paintings, and tapestries among the works.
“I like very much the images of Durdy Bayramov, as well as his style, manner, and I decided to make a tapestry on the basis of one of his still lifes. I did this work in one breath,” says Gulshat Yollyeva, a fourth-year student of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
The portrait of Durdy Bayramov, performed by Zakirdjan Babayev, impressed the jury much. The artist is depicted surrounded by the attributes of his work: paints, easel, favorite wildflowers and fruits. This picture was awarded an honorable first place, a prize from the art fund of Durdy Bayramov and a prize of audience sympathy.
On the second place were Yhlas Allanazarov, Dildora Rahymberdyieva and Yakub Nurmyradov. The five contestants were on the third place: Kakageldy Atayev, Mekanmurad Yagmyrov, Sabina Jurayeva, Muhammetmurad Muhadov and Gulshat Yollyeva.
The jury especially noted the authors of the book “Memories of Durdy Bayramov”, as well as of the supervisors of the film about the artist and the authors of the series of articles about him.
“The contest demonstrated once again that the heritage of the father is alive and continues to inspire the younger generation. And this is very pleasing thing. After all, he devoted his life to art,” says the daughter of the outstanding painter Bahar Durdiyevna.
The best works of the exhibition will be part of the exposition of the Canadian Museum of Durdy Bayramov in Toronto.
