An exhibition of painters from the city of Mary holds in Ashgabat

An exposition called “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road” is opened at the exhibition center of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan. It included canvases of painters from the city of Mary: Allaberdy Amangeldyev, Gurbangeldy Gurbanov, Aynagozel Nuryeva, Kossekmurad Nurmyradov, Annageldy Meretgeldyev, Orazberdy Orazlyev, Chary Hummedov, Ogulsuray Akmuradova and Annadurdy Myradaliyev.
There are 125 paintings, most of which depict historical and cultural monuments, ancient caravan routes as well as the traditional scenes from the everyday life of the Turkmen, exhibited here. Some of the canvases tell about the life of rural people, their work in fields and pastures. A number of works are devoted to the image of a woman who is the keeper of a home. Remarkable are the landscapes that captured the nature of Turkmenistan, its endless expanses. When looking at them, it seems that the pictures come to life; they begin to breathe the freshness of the April grassland or the breeze of the boundless sea, merging with the cry of seagulls.
The exhibition gives visitors an opportunity to get into ancient and modern Turkmenistan, reveals to them the country from different sides and points of view of skilful painters.
The exhibition will continue until May 1.
