Participants and guests of the Games "Ashgabat 2017" will be treated with national culinary delights
A wide scope of preparations goes on in Turkmenistan for the most anticipated event of the year - the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Preparations are made for all sectors that will be involved in organizing and conducting the Games, including services, trade and food.
Very delicate and harmonious dishes of national cuisine will become the main culinary "highlight" in the food variety that will be offered to participants and guests of the 5th Asian Games.
This and other organizational issues were discussed in the meeting that President Berdymukhamedov held today with the leaders in charge of this activity.
The authorities of the country are confident that the holding of the Games "Ashgabat 2017" will "give a powerful impetus to involving the younger generation in regular sports activities ..."
In September, athletes from 64 countries of Asia and Oceania, as well as a combined refugee team from those countries that can not take part in competitions due to the circumstances, will come to the Turkmen capital.
As many foreign observers note, Turkmenistan is preparing for the Asian Games at the level corresponding to the Olympics. Indeed, the scope of preparation in the country is grandiose. If in the existing sports terminology the complex of buildings in which the participants of the Olympic Games live is universally called the "Olympic Village", in Ashgabat it is referred to only as "Olympic Town" (for it simply is not suitable to call athe large array of white marble skyscrapers a "village").
So the Olympic town is ready for operation ahead of time - in anticipation of the start of competitions in 21 sports discipline. All objects have already been more than seriously tested during the major test competitions - the Asian championships and international tournaments
