Yoga and meditation help to improve brain function and increase body energy
According to recent studies by the University of Waterloo, practicing hatha yoga and meditation can significantly improve brain functions.
Hatha yoga is one of the branches of classical ancient Indian yoga and represents a system of psychophysical techniques that help to calm the fluctuations of the mind.
The experience, held with the participation of 31 people, proved that the daily lessons of yoga and meditation for 25 minutes lead to enhancing brain’s the cognitive ability and control emotional reflexes.
The fact is that meditation and yoga focus the brain on a limited number of tasks, such as breathing and posing, thereby disabling the processing of inessential information in the mind.
After physical exercises and mental concentration, the brain performs better the executive function responsible for organizing thoughts and behavior, making decisions and prioritizing.
In addition, the authors of the research, have found out that yoga has the most positive impact on energy levels. So, it helps to increase the potential and the amount of energy required for life.
During yoga sessions, there is a natural high release of endorphins - hormones of happiness, cerebral circulation increases, and eventually, the thought process is freed from negative thoughts.
In recent years, special rise in the fitness culture among the population is observed in Turkmenistan. The number of visitors to fitness clubs is growing, including the Yoga Center in Ashgabat, where today all ages from young to old can be met in gym. Annually opened new sports complexes create all conditions for encouraging mass sports engagement.
