The shining of spring, the luxury of the East - so perhaps you can call a new collection of exclusive clothes from Turkmen designer Dana Hodzhamgulieva. The show was held in the Ashgabat entertainment center "Parahat" in the form of a show program, with musical performances by artists. She admits that as a child she always walked with a pencil and an album in her hands. Then she brilliantly graduated from the art school named after Byashim Nurali and joined the Design Department of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
Back then she conceived the creation of an author's line of clothing - fashionable, stylish and with a pronounced national motive. Today this line - "Dana Peri" - becomes known among admirers of exquisite and unique dresses.
The first show of the young designer took place in 2016 together with the studio "Zenan keşbi", a Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin became an honorable guest at the demonstration. Couturier, whose name is firmly entrenched in the fashion industry, noted the original combination of bold cut and traditional Turkmen patterns of amazingly beautiful dresses.
Her new collection includes trouser suits, wedding dresses with an ethnic accent and elegant evening dresses with author's story and ornamental "painting". All in fresh and juicy tones, to match the spring pore. The favorite themes of Dana are national ornaments, she finds in them endless decorative variations. No wonder, in the art world they say that the designer is a profession, and the artist is a talent, a special vision of the world.
Hours, days, weeks, and sometimes months of work pass from the sketch on paper to the finished model.
"I can not sleep at night, thinking through every detail," Dana says. - Sometimes it happens that the idea, the decision come suddenly, I try to "capture" the thought at the same moment, give it a "move". It's incredibly interesting to do, and the greatest inspiration in the work is given to me by daughter Peri and beloved husband.
... Probably, this is happiness: family and business, where you reflect your soul. Today, Dana is also full of plans, the nearest one of them being to open her show room and run a children's clothing line.
