Ashgabat hosts competitions for the Fencing Cup of Turkmenistan

From 6th to 8th of April the stadium "Ashgabat" will host competitions for the Cup of Turkmenistan on fencing. About 80 athletes from different regions of the country over the age of 15 will demonstrate abilities in such kinds of sports weapons as rapier, sword and saber. On the first day of the tournament there will be competitions of girls on a sword and boys on saber, on the second day they will fight for the superiority of a girl, foil-rippers and boys, rapists, and on the final day - saber-players and foil-wrestlers. Young athletes of the country - winners of many international competitions will take part in the competition. Among them are masters of sports in fencing Vyacheslav Voronin, Ahmed Agayev, candidates for master of sports Mekan Durdiev, Mengli Goyunlyeva, Angelina Bilenko, Maria Karpova and others.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
The championship will also be joined by promising young fencer Jumanazar Dovletnazarov, whom ORIENT mentioned earlier here. Last year he became the owner of the Turkmenistan Fencing Cup on the rapier and took the third place on the sword. And in the country's first place, he won four medals on two kinds of sports weapons. Djumanazar is among the five best fencers in the country among adults.
The honorary judges of the Turkmen Fencing Cup will be presented this year by the trainers of the women's and men's national team of Turkmenistan Tatyana Ermolaeva and Vitaly Tagramanov, and the mentors of Lebap and Mary velayats Nargiza Raymova and Natalia Anikina.
The winners of the national tournament will go to the Asian Championships in Bangkok in June and the World Championships to be held in July in China this year.
