James Ashby was born and raised in Australia. He spent most of his growing up on a bicycle, and is now preparing for the biggest trip in his life. At the age of 18, he is cycling through the world - a journey of 29,000 km in length to collect money to fight the motor neuron disease, which took the lives of his grandmother Margaret Schell and the athletics coach Toby Schreier. Starting April 21st, he hopes to collect $ 1 for every kilometer of the marathon. "I always dreamed of doing something significant in the year of my majority. And one of my friends jokingly said: "So why do not you just go around the world? Says James." It stuck in my soul, and a month later I began to plan my route." James Ashby's odyssey will begin with his native Australia. Then it will cross New Zealand, the United States, England, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and the "roof" of the world - Pamir (altitude 4500 km) in China. In most countries, he plans to spend the night in tent camps to minimize costs. "All my efforts are aimed at collecting money in support of people suffering from motor neuron disease. I can not imagine what it's like to be unable to move. And I'll do my best so that as few people as possible can recognize this feeling." The seriousness of the mission will not prevent James from enjoying the beautiful scenery and fresh tailwind. The route of James will also flow through Turkmenistan. This is not surprising, because any round-the-world trip necessarily passes through the Turkmen cities, connecting all world routes since the ancient Great Silk Road. "I'm looking forward to the trip through Turkmenistan! We know so little about it, but I believe that this is a beautiful country!" says James. The young Australian also hopes that he will be recognized as the youngest person around the world. "It will be a tremendous experience ... there are not so many people in the world who have traveled the whole planet!" James Marathon starts on April 21st, 2018, but the marathon of human kindness has already been launched.
