Berdimuhamedov met with new parliamentarians
The priority task of the deputies of the Mejlis of the new convocation is further development of the national legal framework in the context of the current socio-economic transformations in the country. This was said by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a meeting with the deputies of the sixth convocation of the Mejlis on Friday, March 30th, the information program "Vatan" of the Turkmen State Television and Radio reports. The Turkmen leader stressed that the development of new laws and other normative documents should be carried out on the basis of a systematic and thorough analysis of the processes in the world economy. Paying close attention to complex processes in the global market, it is necessary at the legislative level to reduce the adverse external influence on the national economy, the president said. The priority tasks in this direction are the in-depth analysis of the existing legal documents and the adoption of new laws aimed at modernizing the legal framework on the basis of the provisions and norms enshrined in the Constitution of Turkmenistan, Berdimuhamedov said.
