Hooray! Holidays! Ashgabat schoolchildren and students will take a break in studies during 5th Asian Games
The start of the new school year pleased the Ashgabat schoolchildren and students with a pleasant surprise - the September holidays, which will come in two weeks and last for 10 days.
This decision is connected with the conducting the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in the Turkmen capital.
As for the school holidays, the initial initiative came from the parent committees - it was submitted to the Ministry of Education of the country, and then submitted to higher authorities for approval at the level of the head of state.
The Asian Games "Ashgabat 2017" is the first sports competitions of such a great importance, held in Turkmenistan. Of course, teenagers and high school students will want to attend many competitions, cheer for their own teams and just plunge into the atmosphere of a grand holiday, which will bring the best athletes of 64 countries!
The students have a slightly different story. First, among the members of the national team of Turkmenistan there are many representatives of the capital's universities, first of all, the National Institute of Sport and Tourism. Secondly, students became a significant part of the 8-thousandth army of volunteers of the Asian Games.
Orient contacted the Ministry of Education to find out whether the school hours that were replaced for the holidays will be compensated.
As confirmed in the department, the curriculum of the year will certainly be fulfilled, and the training hours will be filled at the expense of "borrowing" several days from planned autumn and winter vacations, as well as the introduction of additional classes in the days with not much lessons.
With the question of whether the current vacations are connected with the transport overload of the capital in the days of the Asian Games, Orient called the Ministry of Road Transport. And we were convincingly told that the present composition of the city passenger park is able to cover not only the increasing needs of Ashgabat, but also the large territories adjoining the capital.
The responsible representative of the Ministry also noted that although the former quantitative composition of the park quite satisfied the needs of the population in transport, nevertheless, on the eve of the Games new busses and taxis were purchased.
Well, it is nice to have the excess public transport in the city, which is waiting for the arrival of thousands of guests from abroad.
In addition, new urban routes for passenger buses have been introduced recently, however this is not due to Asian Games, but to the actively growing new residential areas of the capital.
