Turkmen sambo wrestlers - among prize-winners of the World Cup

One silver and two bronze medals were won by Turkmen sambo wrestlers at the World Sambo Cup "Harlampiyev Memorial" held in Moscow on Saturday 24th May. The silver award in the category "Combat Sambo" went to Novruz Atayev, a student of the National Institute of Sport and Tourism of Turkmenistan, who defeated an opponent from India, but lost in the final fight to a Russian athlete in weight up to 57 kg. Javlanbek Madaminov (82 kg) in combat sambo and Maral Sultanova (62 kg) in women's competitions became the bronze medalists of the championship.
