Turkmen students are headliners of “Novruz in St. Petersburg”
On March 21, the international holiday “Novruz in St. Petersburg” was held at the Russian State Hydro meteorological University. The event, organized by the Association of Foreign Students of the city, gathered a huge number of young representatives from the states of Central Asia, including Turkmenistan. During the festival, students competed in two nominations: a presentation with the topic of “Novruz in my country” and “Plov Competition”. Turkmen students took first place in both nominations. The second and third places in the first - creative - contest were divided among the students from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Culinary duel was the most spectacular part, and open-handed for delicious national cuisine. No one could match Turkmen students in this competition as well. The Tajik students took the second place and Kyrgyz - the third place.
