The eastern fairy tale in the foothills of the Kopetdag
Having got to the place of Novruz Ýaylasy Valley during the National Holiday of Spring, one can lose the power of speech. There is a fairy city against the backdrop of green foothills formed in the open field, as if by magic. You will be amazed by the architecture of the east, dazedly watching over the inhabitants, as if they arrived straight from the past. Here and there, you notice the ancient buildings associated with certain events of the past centuries which you familiar with from the lessons of history of childhood. Only when you look carefully and attentively to details you can realize that the fairy town is a show, and its inhabitants are professional actors. However, with all this, nowhere you notice that someone is out of his role, or something is missing. Everything is so detailed that even turning off the “plot” (it is indicated here with a special stone path) does not give the feeling of the artificiality of what is happening around. In close proximity to hospitable personages, you can see that each of them performs their responsible role. Someone makes tools skilfully, someone reads the science book, and someone drinks tea and talks about life. Interacting with each of them, you immerse yourself in the ancient history of the peoples of Asia too deep that you lose touch with the present. You expect that behind the scenery of majestic ancient buildings and special themed zones, there is an endless green field, but in fact, you find yourself in an ancient settlement of Turkmen. Passing between small yurts, you see how life is organized here. The Akhal-Teke horses are riding as well as sheep and camels are grazing around. Not far from this, the magnificent Turkmen wedding is to be celebrated along with performing traditional customs and inviting guests to a feast. On the central path of the town you can make a true and authentic excursion into the history of the country, having learned all the most interesting and important things that happened on the lands along the routes of the Great Silk Road.
