Berdimuhamedov congratulates heads of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China on the re-election


On Monday, March 19, President Berdimuhamedov congratulated Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping on the re-election to the posts of the heads of state of the Russian Federation and the PRC, reports TDH. In his congratulatory address to Putin, Berdimuhamedov underlined that in Turkmenistan highly appreciate the personal contribution of the leader of the Russia into the development of the Turkmen-Russian relations and expressed belief in the continuation of the meaningful dialogue and joint constructive work for the further development of the whole complex of bilateral relations. In a letter to the head of the PRC, the Turkmen leader expressed his conviction that under the leadership of the re-elected leader of China, the country will achieve greater successes, and the Turkmen-Chinese relations will reach the qualitatively new level. Xi Jinping was re-elected as the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China on March 17 by the unanimous decision of the Chinese Parliament. The election of the Russian president was held on March 18. According to preliminary data of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Putin wins 4th presidential term with 76.6 percent of vote, his highest score ever. According to Russian legislation, the final election results will be announced within ten days.
