Serdar Berdimuhamedov Participates in the Aqaba Process Summit in Astana

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan included his participation in a summit of the international "Aqaba Process" initiative, held in Astana on November 6 and focused on security in the realm of artificial intelligence.
This dialogue platform—established in 2015 at the initiative of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to counter terrorism and extremism—brought together, for the first time in the Kazakh capital, leaders from Central Asian nations, Azerbaijan, and Jordan, as well as heads of relevant bodies from the UN, the European Union, the CIS, and the SCO.

Addressing the forum participants, the head of Turkmenistan outlined his country’s key priorities regarding the countering of cyber threats and the regulation of digital technologies. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that ensuring long-term international stability in the era of algorithms and artificial intelligence relies on the active use of preventive diplomacy tools, the practical potential of neutrality, and the restoration of a culture of trust-based political dialogue.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed his country’s firm and unwavering commitment to cooperation in ensuring robust security and stability—both in Central Asia and globally—as well as its readiness to make a constructive contribution toward the goals and objectives of the Aqaba Process.
During the meeting, regional leaders and international experts discussed the development of protective mechanisms for digital infrastructure, the integration of IT-sector capabilities between Central Asia and the Middle East, and the coordination of responses to emerging technological challenges. The head of state’s participation in the forum in Astana reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s unwavering commitment to multilateral cooperation for the sake of maintaining peace and global security.
