President of Turkmenistan Meets with the King of Jordan

On November 6, in Astana—on the sidelines of the Central Asian Heads of State Summit, held within the framework of the Aqaba Process on security in the field of artificial intelligence—President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his confidence that this meeting would serve as an important contribution to intensifying the intergovernmental dialogue and identifying new directions for it.
"We are prepared for further engagement with Jordan—within the United Nations and other international organizations—on issues of mutual interest, as well as for continuing the practice of supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, trust, and stability," the head of Turkmenistan noted. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that there are currently significant opportunities to expand Turkmen-Jordanian cooperation across the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Noting that, in the current era of rapid development in artificial intelligence technologies, ensuring their safe and responsible use has become a key focus of the global agenda, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of deepening international cooperation and coordinating the efforts of states in this area within the framework of the Aqaba Process.
During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited King Abdullah II to visit Turkmenistan at a time convenient for him.
