Turkmenistan Presents Heritage Preservation Strategy at World Forum in Baku

A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Minister of Culture Gurbanmyrat Myradaliyev, participated in the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku. From this prominent international platform, the delegation from Ashgabat outlined the country’s core policy priorities regarding the preservation of national values, the protection of historical heritage, and the continuity of cultural traditions.

A central focus of the Turkmen delegation’s presentation was the role of youth in strengthening the nation’s sociocultural potential. Today, the country’s younger generation serves not merely as custodians of traditional identity, but as active participants in the restoration of architectural monuments, environmental initiatives, and the development of national tourism routes—thereby contributing directly to the concept of sustainable development.

In the context of global engagement, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality serves as a reliable bridge for expanding a depoliticized cultural dialogue. Respect for the language, historical memory, and traditions of every nation remains a fundamental prerequisite for building enduring international trust, harmony, and the mutual enrichment of cultures in today’s world.
