The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates plans to use Chinese flying-car technology to develop a new model of urban mobility.

On Tuesday, an emirate delegation visited ARIDGE's mass-production facility in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The company specializes in low-altitude mobility solutions and flying vehicles.

During the visit, the two sides unveiled the first air module of the Land Aircraft Carrier X3-F, which is designated for testing under Ras Al Khaimah's advanced air mobility regulatory sandbox.

The emirate established the sandbox last year specifically to test personal flying cars and related technologies. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, said the emirate's relatively compact size allows new technologies to move more quickly from testing to real-world use.

He said Chinese companies are among the leaders in smart mobility, while Ras Al Khaimah can provide a practical environment for pilot projects and potentially serve as a gateway to the wider regional market.

The roll-off ceremony was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and a member of the UAE Supreme Council, as well as ARIDGE founder Zhao Deli.

Sheikh Saud said the emirate is interested in attracting Chinese industrial expertise and technology to support the development of modern mobility solutions.

The project also reflects the broader expansion of China's low-altitude economy into overseas markets. In this case, Ras Al Khaimah is being positioned as a location where new technologies can progress from regulatory trials to commercial applications.

According to CCTV+, cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah's transport authorities and ARIDGE is focused on testing and eventually deploying flying cars in real urban environments.
