This year, Turkmenistan is fulfilling the important mission of chairing the Commonwealth based on a specially developed concept aimed at strengthening stability and sustainable development across the Eurasian region. Turkmenistan’s internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality fosters a distinctive, respectful approach to multilateral partnership grounded in the principles of equality and mutual benefit.
The upcoming meetings are intended to take stock of the substantive work accomplished during the chairmanship, a period that saw the timely convening of sessions of the Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Economic Council, and various sectoral bodies.
This summit takes place during the significant period marking the 35th anniversary of the CIS, affirming that the Organization has successfully navigated this journey—preserving the foundation of equitable cooperation—and has evolved from a crisis-management format into a permanent integration mechanism.
