Student from Turkmenistan Wins $500 in International “Great Civilization” Essay Competition


On September 25, the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan hosted an award ceremony for the winner of the international “Great Civilization” essay competition. Selim Annaberdiyev, a student at the center studying Persian, took third place for his impressive essay on the history and culture of Iran and received a prize of $500.
The ceremony was dedicated to Persian Poetry and Literature Day and the memory of the poet Shahriar. The event brought together students and teachers, while the international competition was organized by Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
The finalist was presented with a certificate and cash prize by Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, and Abdolreza Abbasi, Cultural Counselor.
Congratulating the winner, Abdolreza Abbasi emphasized that culture serves as a unifying force for peoples and countries and expressed hope for the continued successful development of joint projects in this field.
