585 Voters Cast Ballots in Russian State Duma Elections in Turkmenistan

The results of the voting for the ninth convocation of the Russian State Duma have been tallied in Turkmenistan. The vote took place on September 20 across all five of the country's provinces, drawing 585 Russian citizens—either residents or temporary visitors—to the polling stations.
To accommodate voters, polling stations operated from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in key administrative centers: Ashgabat, Turkmenabat, Dashoguz, Mary, and Turkmenbashi. Ivan Volynkin, the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, was the first to cast his vote at the polling station in the capital.
The diplomatic mission noted the high level of organization and the warm atmosphere at the polling stations. Commemorative gifts were prepared for first-time voters, while mobile voting at home was arranged for voters with limited mobility upon prior request.

The Russian diplomatic mission expressed its gratitude to the Turkmen side for its comprehensive assistance in conducting the elections, emphasizing that this reliable organizational partnership once again reaffirms the strategic nature of the relationship and the deep level of mutual understanding between Ashgabat and Moscow.
