Turkmen Musicians Perform with the Pan-Caucasian Orchestra at the Tsinandali Festival
Five representatives from Turkmenistan are performing at the 8th International Classical Music Festival in Tsinandali, Georgia, which is taking place from September 3 to 13.
The performers have joined the international Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra, which brings together musicians aged 18 to 28 from Georgia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
A notable achievement for the Turkmen school of performance was the appointment of Selbinyaz Mulkamanova—an artist at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan—as concertmaster of the entire symphony orchestra.
The young performers work under the guidance of the festival’s music director, Maestro Gianandrea Noseda, and participate in an intensive program of masterclasses and rehearsals with leading soloists from the world’s major philharmonic stages.
On the sidelines of the music forum, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, met with the Turkmen artists and the organizing committee, highlighting the festival's role as an effective cultural bridge between Europe and Asia.
