Delegation from Turkmenistan’s Migration Service Participates in Global Security Forum in China

A delegation from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan is participating in the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, which opened on September 9 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China. A highlight of the Turkmen specialists' agenda was their participation in the dedicated sub-forum on migration management cooperation.
As part of the forum, talks were held with the leadership of China’s National Immigration Administration, focusing on strengthening cooperation and the practical exchange of experience. Key topics of discussion included the digitalization of migration processes, the transition to electronic document management, and the implementation of modern technological solutions to expedite and improve the quality of public services provided to citizens.
A major international forum, organized under the theme of enhancing management efficiency in the sphere of public security, has brought together over 2,100 delegates from 139 countries and international organizations. In addition to migration-related issues, the program of the eight thematic sub-forums covers cybersecurity, the fight against transnational crime, and the application of advanced technologies.

As part of the forum proceedings—which run until September 11—Turkmen specialists will visit a specialized exhibition of security equipment, and a Regional Report on Migration Policy Dynamics is expected to be adopted following the specialized meetings.
