Rashid Meredov Congratulated Mukhtar Tileuberdi on His Appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tileuberdi.
The head of Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan congratulated his Kazakh counterpart on assuming his new post, wished him success in his responsible government duties, and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the strategic partnership and constructive dialogue between Ashgabat and Astana.
During the talks, the parties discussed priority issues on the bilateral agenda, promising areas of trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the practical implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level. Particular attention was paid to interaction within multilateral platforms and the schedule of upcoming joint events.
Mukhtar Tileuberdi, who re-appointed Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry on September 2, 2026, is one of Kazakhstan's most experienced diplomats, with over 30 years of experience in the foreign policy system. He previously headed the country's Foreign Ministry from 2019 to 2023, and before his latest appointment, he represented Kazakhstan's interests as Ambassador to Austria. Mukhtar Tileuberdi replaces Yermek Kosherbayev, who led the ministry since September 2025.
On the same day, the new Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan held telephone conversations with the heads of the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
