Serdar Berdimuhamedov Held a Working Review of the Agricultural Sector and New Construction Projects in the Velayats

The development of the agro-industrial complex, the progress of seasonal campaigns, and adherence to construction schedules for social and industrial infrastructure facilities in the velayats were the main topics of a working meeting held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and regional governors.
The main agricultural task of the current period is the synchronization of key agricultural campaigns—the winter wheat sowing, which began on September 2, and preparations for the cotton harvest. As noted in the reports of regional administration heads, cotton gins, collection points, combine harvesters, and specialized vehicles are fully prepared for the official start of the cotton harvest, scheduled for September 9.
At the same time, the country's fields are being fully utilized, farmers are being supplied with high-quality seeds, and scheduled maintenance is being carried out on winter potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and specialized food crops—rice in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beets in the Mary region.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant deputy prime minister and velayat leaders to strictly monitor compliance with agricultural standards, protect crops from pests, and ensure timely mutual payments between farmers and service companies.
The second focus of the meeting was monitoring the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion in honor of Turkmenistan's 35th anniversary of independence. The head of state gave specific instructions to the governors of all regions to ensure the quality of construction work and strict adherence to approved commissioning schedules.
