The scientific basis for the Akhal-Teke breed, the preservation of its purebred lineage, and modern training methodology were the central topics of an international scientific and practical conference held in the Netherlands as part of the FEI World Equestrian Championships.

The forum brought together leading scientists, horse breeders, and experts from specialized organizations from more than 20 countries, including representatives of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the French Equestrian Federation, and the Akhal-Teke Foundation (USA).

The international researchers focused on fundamental historical evidence of the breed's origins in Turkmenistan, as well as practical issues of registering racehorses, training young specialists, and strengthening academic ties between the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding and international specialized centers.

The conference was divided into five specialized sections, covering the full spectrum of scientific and cultural discourse—from veterinary genetics to the breed's influence on global arts and crafts and the inclusion of the national horse-training art on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Of particular interest to the expert community was the use of cutting-edge innovative technologies and digital research and production facilities in the city of Arkadag, which have created a modern regulatory and research framework for regulating breeding, molecular genetic analysis, and the development of sports medicine. Hosting such a large-scale scientific forum in Europe cemented Turkmenistan's role as a global hub for coordinating research into the preservation and development of the unique gene pool of these "paradise" racehorses.
