Iran responds to Trump's AI video on Kharg Island and warns against aggression

On Monday, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement confirming that, while respecting the national sovereignty of its neighbours, Iran will not tolerate any acts of aggression and will respond to such acts with even greater force.

In the statement, the Iranian military noted that despite official statements by a number of Middle Eastern countries prohibiting the use of their territory by US hostile forces for strikes against Iran, and despite Tehran's previous warnings, US forces had nevertheless carried out strikes on some Iranian military facilities from their territory.

The statement stressed that US forces have no choice but to withdraw from the region, and that parties facilitating US aggression against Iran must understand that all branches of the Iranian armed forces will be united in confronting and eliminating any source of aggression.

Meanwhile, a representative of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said on the same day that US President Donald Trump's claim about the destruction of Kharg Island was "absurd," adding that oil production operations on the island had never stopped. Earlier, Trump posted on social media an AI generated video depicting explosions destroying oil facilities on Kharg Island, Tehran's major oil hub. "Kharg Island is blown to pieces!!!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

As CCTV+ reports, the Iranian General Staff's statement and the response to Trump's threats demonstrate that Tehran is not prepared to yield to pressure and is ready for decisive action. The conflict is entering a new phase where rhetoric is backed by military and economic leverage. The situation remains extremely tense, and any careless move could lead to a full scale escalation in the region, requiring international intervention to prevent catastrophe.
