Inclusion and AI Identified Among the Benchmarks at the August Teachers' Meeting
At the August conference of education system workers at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, key benchmarks for the 2026-2027 academic year were outlined. Along with traditional topics of methodology and curriculum updates, the main topics of discussion were scaling up inclusive education and preparing for the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process.
The forum placed particular emphasis on developing an accessible educational environment. As part of the inclusive education system, Turkmen schools are consistently creating conditions for the joint education of children, regardless of their physical, mental, linguistic, or other disabilities. This work is complemented by the humanitarian initiatives of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, support of which helps integrate children with special needs into active school life and society.
At the same time, the country is beginning to lay the foundation for working with artificial intelligence technologies in schools and universities. Within the framework of the development of the digital educational environment and the Strategy for Higher Professional Education of Turkmenistan for 2026–2052, the implementation of AI is considered one of the most promising tools. In collaboration with international experts, the national school plans to use artificial intelligence algorithms to personalize curricula, work with young people's research projects, and improve the quality of teaching.
