Young Researchers and Students from Turkmenistan Can Participate in the CIS International Relations Competition


The A.A. Gromyko Foreign Policy Studies Association, together with the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, have opened the application process for the 2026 CIS International Relations Competition.
The project is designed for young analysts, diplomats, teachers, journalists, as well as undergraduate and graduate students in the social sciences and humanities (political science, economics, history, sociology, law, philosophy, etc.). Citizens of CIS member states aged 18 to 35 are invited to participate.
In 2026, the competition committee will accept analytical submissions for review. Proposed topics include forecasting the security architecture in the CIS through 2036, issues of national identity, and prospects for conflict-free cooperation in the region.
Young scientists, research fellows, teachers, graduate students, researchers, and journalists aged 25 to 35 are eligible to win the main category. Undergraduate, specialist, and master's degree students, postgraduate students, employees of higher education and scientific institutions, researchers, and journalists aged 18 to 24 are eligible to win the debut category.
Winners in various categories will receive valuable prizes. At least 50 participants will be invited to the in-person finals in Moscow at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences and MGIMO University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Participants' travel and accommodation costs will be fully covered by the organizers.
Applications and analytical papers are accepted on the official website of the project gromyko.ru/konkurs until September 20, 2026 (until 11:59 PM).
