The Turkmen Embassy in Minsk Hosted a Meeting with Students from Polotsk State University

On August 20, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk hosted a conference bringing together Turkmen and international students from Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk. The event was organized as part of the celebratory program for the 35th anniversary of the country's independence and coincided with the year's motto: "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses."

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev addressed the youth. The diplomat highlighted key stages in strengthening sovereignty and developing regional diplomacy over the past 35 years, and particularly highlighted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's efforts to expand international educational dialogue.

The head of the mission reminded the participants of the upcoming meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), which will be held on September 23 in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to determine the main vectors of social and economic policy.

As part of the cultural portion of the meeting, the students visited an exhibition in the embassy's greenhouse featuring museum artifacts and photographs showcasing ancient architecture and the appearance of modern cities. The program concluded with a video screening about the technological and infrastructural achievements of modern Turkmenistan.
