In anticipation of the first Korea-Central Asia Summit, scheduled for mid-September, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), together with Kazakhstan's KazAID, organized a two-week advanced training program for delegates from the region. Fourteen industry leaders from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, as well as a KazAID representative, completed an intensive course on the Korean digital government model, smart city management systems, and traffic optimization.

The program, which concluded on August 22 at the KOICA training center in Seongnam, served as a practical step in preparing the technological groundwork for the upcoming meeting of heads of state. Participants studied the operation of the Seoul Traffic Information Center and specialized interactive platforms for digital governance. A key stage of the training was not simply an inspection of the infrastructure, but the joint development of individual roadmaps for adapting South Korean technologies to the digitalization challenges of each participating country.

The region's interest in Seoul's technologies stems from the Republic of Korea's global leadership in IT transformation. According to the UN e-government assessment, the country ranks first in the world for the quality of online services for citizens and fourth in the overall global ranking. The internship organizers hope that common digital standards and exchange of experience will serve as a catalyst for the launch of joint technology ventures and expanded scientific collaboration across Central Asia.
