Pakistan's Ministry of Information Technology Is Exploring Joint Projects with Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan and Pakistan are intensifying their dialogue on digital transformation and telecommunications. A delegation from Pakistan's Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, led by Muhammad Amir Malik, a representative of the Department of International Coordination, and the leadership of the Turkmen diplomatic mission, discussed current areas of joint work in Islamabad.
The main topic of the talks was the practical implementation of bilateral partnership in the IT sector. The Pakistani side was briefed in detail on Turkmenistan's strategy for large-scale digitalization of the economy, public administration, and the social sphere. The parties noted the high potential for launching joint technology initiatives and exchanging experience in IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and e-government.
During the meeting, Pakistani specialists were also presented with important international projects and socio-political events in Turkmenistan, marking the 35th anniversary of state independence. In particular, special attention was paid to the socio-political significance of the upcoming September meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) and the first-ever Akhal-Teke World Championship, which will be held in the Netherlands from September 4 to 6.
Following the talks, the representative of the Pakistani Ministry of IT and the Turkmen ambassador confirmed their mutual commitment to supporting the two countries' initiatives on international platforms and developing a long-term technological partnership.
