Turkmenistan and Qatar Expand Cooperation in Media and Television
On August 18, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov met with Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani, Executive Director of the Qatar Media Corporation. The sides discussed key issues related to the development of relations between the mass media of the two countries.
During the meeting, the diplomat briefed his counterpart on Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priorities, the preservation of national heritage, and international events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence. Particular attention was paid to Turkmenistan’s initiative under which the United Nations proclaimed 2028 the International Year of Law.
The main topic of the talks was strengthening practical cooperation. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Qatar Media Corporation.
The participants also emphasized the importance of exchanging professional experience, organizing mutual visits by delegations, and participating jointly in international media forums.
