The first international art exhibition, “Crossroads of Cultures,” has opened in Azerbaijan as part of the large-scale GabalaFest festival. The project brings together paintings, sculptures, and photography by renowned artists from 11 countries, including Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.

The exhibition aims to promote artistic dialogue between different cultures, traditions, and generations. More than 30 acclaimed artists and sculptors are showcasing their works. Among the participants is Turkmen painter Gahryman Gochmyradov, who is presenting his artwork on the international stage. Visitors can explore outstanding examples of contemporary art, works inspired by the ancient Silk Road, environmentally themed sculptures, and graphic art.

A special feature of the program is a series of interactive installations that allow visitors to become co-creators of the artworks. For example, at the “Tree of Reflection” installation, guests can leave their thoughts and hopes for the future of the planet. The festival also offers master classes led by leading international experts in street art, graffiti, ceramic painting, diorama creation, and landscape painting.

The exhibition is curated by British art historian and BBC television presenter Ruth Millington. According to her, the works brought together at the exhibition tell unique stories born at the crossroads of cultures and serve as a reminder of the unifying power of art.
